While employers were granted a reprieve from implementing the regulations regarding overtime rates (see previous article), other changes impacting employers proceed unabated. One such change that might go unnoticed is the requirement to begin using, no later than January 22, 2017, the revised I-9 employment eligibility verification form issued by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. Although the form does not contain any significant substantive changes, it has been reworked for purposes of ease of completion (fillable online) and reduced data input error.
